Diversified Treatment

A chiropractic adjustment involves application of a quick, precise force directed over a specific vertebra or other joint in the body. This enhances communication between your brain and body resulting in reduced pain, increased range of motion, and improved biomechanics.

An adjustment is usually performed by hand, but may also be performed by hand-guided instruments. Some of these instruments include a drop table or Impulse adjuster to fit the individual needs and comfort of the patient.

Best results are seen in patients who combine chiropractic manipulations with the appropriate home exercise routine.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

(IASTM)

IASTM is a type of soft tissue massage using a metal tool to help detect and break up areas of scar tissue in order to restore normal muscle and joint motion. When muscle, ligaments or fascia are injured, fibrous tissue is laid down in random crisscross patterns causing increased friction and pain with normal movement.

This therapy causes cellular changes creating a local inflammatory response. These tools are effective for treating tendonitis, sprain/strains, and frozen joints.

Active Release Techniques®

(ART®)

ART® treatment works by releasing muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia where trauma to the tissues, whether due to an acute injury or chronic repetitive stress, has caused pain and decreased function.

ART® is designed to quickly reduce pain and restore function through emphasis and adherence to several principles including touch, movement, efficacy and safety.

Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology tape, or RockTape, is designed to enhance normal movement patterns following an injury or trauma. It aids in reducing pain and increasing circulation. Kinesiology tape provides cues to improve body awareness and maintain full range of motion.

Therapeutic Modalities

Therapeutic Ultrasound is a form of deep heat used to sedate overactive nerves that contribute to muscle spasms and pain.

Electrical stimulation uses electrode pads on the skin to transmit electrical current to target muscle groups. This therapy aids in reducing swelling and muscle spasms.
